Create Slideshow with Basic Theme Template

Using the Basic flash templates, Flash Photo Slideshow will create a simple HTML document that inserts the proper tags for displaying the flash slideshow, which is actually a Flash movie with the file extension .swf.

Dreamweaver is a visual HTML editor with built-in objects that allow you to easily insert Flash content. The required HTML tags are automatically inserted by Dreamweaver.

1. Copy the SWF file to the same folder as the HTML document.

2. In Dreamweaver, select the location of the page where you wish to add the Flash content (including inside a div, table cell or frame).

3. Click the Insert Flash button in Dreamweaver's Object palette, or choose Insert> Media > Flash. Browse to and choose the SWF file.

4. Upload both the SWF and HTML files to your Web server, placing them in the same directory.

Create Slideshow with Advanced Theme Template

The slideshow created by the Advanced theme template is a xml-driven flash slideshow. The XML-driven flash slideshow is much more dynamic than simple SWF + HTML flash. You can make comprehensive configurations to the project so to build up the very flash slideshow the way you want it to be. Advanced templates are very powerful if you use them to build photo flash gallery.

This kind of flash requires data source folders and assets to display properly, SWF, HTML, XML, image folder and thumbnail folder, and other components.

In this case, if you move the SWF file out of the folder, but do not change XML and other settings respectively, the SWF file will "Load Fail", that means it will not playback.

1. After you publish a slideshow created by the Advanced theme template, please follow the directory below to find the output folder C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator(UserName)\My Documents\Photo Flash Maker Professional

2. Copy the output folder to your server.

Double click the output folder to open the folder you just created, supposed it's named "flash". Copy the entire output folder name "flash" to your server.

The "flash" folder contains following components, including "res", "slides", "thumbs", "flash.html", "flash.swf", "fs_aux.html", "slides.xml".

3. Copy the html codes in Dreamweaver

Open Dreamweaver; unfold folder "flash"; open "fs_aux.html" in Dreamweaver; copy the codes between "<object" and "</object>";

4. Insert the html codes to your web page
Open the .html (example "test.html") where you would like to insert the flash; insert the codes to the place where you would like the slideshow to show up; change the paths of the "flash.swf" and "slides.xml".

(Note: In this exmple, since both of these two files are located at the same folder name "flash", you need to change the codes accordingly. So, the codes shoule be modified as follow:

"flash.swf?xml_path=slides.xml" => "flash/flash.swf?xml_path=flash/slides.xml")

After you change the paths correctly, you can preview the flash in your browser before uploading.
